You have decided to develop your own Water Storage system, utilizing Rainwater Harvesting or Well Water, that's fantastic, and we can help with options and solutions to get you on your way.
Water Storage is to be taken seriously, as with the distribution and use of it, the sustainability of our future depends upon it. Water tanks and level gauges are part of the process and that's where I can be of great assistance!
Hi, my name is Dan Fleming. I reside in Menard County, Texas, with my wife and son. Being a successful Rancher, (which I believe I am), requires excellent business skills, the ability to diversify, and to seize golden opportunities when they arise. A wrong judgment in this business can cost you your financial future.
Part of the success is being a good steward of the land. This includes alot of things, with one main basic key, conserving the most precious, and limited, resource on Earth, WATER.
Ranching in this part of the world really makes you appreciate rain, as it does not happen too often.
It also made me realize the necessity to be part of water conservation organizations, such as the American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association and the Texas Chapter of this organization.
I now have a full time water related business, Water Drop Storage Systems. Revolving around water storage, it caters to water tank installs, water level gauges, ultraviolet light treatment station installation and Rainwater harvesting systems, predominantly in South-central-West Texas.
The level gauges we ship all over the United States, to individuals and also supplying bulk, wholesale orders to businesses. So if you are looking for water storage solutions or a water level gauge for rainwater harvesting, agriculture, municipal or other, check us out.
Joining with Pioneer Water Tanks over 4 years ago, was a good decision. Not only is it a way to compliment our business, but also to help in the conservation of water. Something I know my son, his children and their children will be grateful for.
Well if you haven't and don't know, let me tell you, building a website takes a vast amount of time and effort!, so bare with me as this may take awhile. Priorities have to be set and the website is not at the top, but it will have it's day. Over time my site will be as good as other top sites you visit, decided not by the "fancy-frillies" around the edge, but what you, the visitor get out of it.
If you get tired of checking back to see what's new, and need some important info on water storage, feel free to email me, no problem.
So Welcome and enjoy!
The two main goals I hope to achieve;
1: supply you, the visitor, with beneficial information
2: gain your business, either as a individual or a company
By visiting each part of our site, such as "Tank Repair" (Leaking Tank) for old Concrete or Steel tanks that just won't hold water, and the "How To" (DIY) tab, experiences on what worked and what didn't will save you time and money.
I have installed many systems which are open for the public to view in different locations. A Emergency Water Tank with Level Gauge, is installed at the McDonald Observatory, Ft Davis, Texas.
A water storage project, which Pioneer and myself partnered with to sponsor the cost by donating the tank and installation, erecting a 16,410 gallon large Water Storage Tank at the First Baptist Memorial Center in San Angelo,Texas. Rainwater is collected off the Alzheimer's building roof and channeled to the tank. Two key achievements of this project was reducing storm-water runoff, a major problem in the area, and reducing the cost of landscape irrigation with over approximately 70,000 gallons collected annually!
The new Community Center in Menard,TX, boasts a 30,000 gallon Pioneer tank catching rainwater for irrigating landscape. Nestled snuggly in behind the center, it is viewable for the public at any time.
Under the direction of Agri-life Water agent, Billy Kniffen, the tank was installed over a two day period. This allowed time for interested public members, including the local Businessman's group, to see the different stages of installation. A call to the group for extra "volunteer's" in the 110% Summer heat, went unheeded!!
The Largest Tank for an individual collecting rainwater we have installed to date, north of Abilene, a 65,000 gallon system! Their collection surface is a extra-large implement barn. Even using 6" piping, the owner has informed me, that heavy downpours of rain overflow the gutters. Since the collection surface is so large, this loss of rainwater has not been an issue to date because the tank stays relatively full, ~ demand is light compared to supply.
Ranching in Ozona, Texas, can be a test of "ones' ability" to live perfectly in harmony with the ever changes in the cyclical ways of Nature. Having a reliable water source is part of the key, along with the storage of the water, and the distribution to the people, livestock and wildlife.
The Pioneer tanks are a proven performer in those harsh environment's out there in West Texas. I can say this as we have a Ranching client who has come back to me for his second 65,000 gal. Pioneer tank and then this year, utilized a Pioneer liner to retrofit his steel storage tank.
Pioneer tanks cater to Livestock water requirements for Cattle, Sheep, Goats and Horses.Whatever you have! Agricultural Water Management is easier to organize with one of our Pioneer Galaxy modular tank designs.
Aquaculture is a industry not very often heard about, but it is very much a part of our food supply.
If you are involved in this industry, Pioneer would be delighted to help with a solution for your tank requirements for certain types of Fresh Water Storage for Fish.
Either myself, or another trained installer can set these tanks up in double-quick time. They are a one-ring style tank which come without the roof for obvious reasons. Tanks would need to be under cover by way of a shed or shade cloth. This is to protect the Pioneer liner from the harmful UV rays of the Sun.
USDA have recently approved our tanks for EQUIP programmes which is good news for Ranchers and Farmers setting up a water system. We can have a Tank Installed and ready for water same day!
Remember also, RWH systems are Tax Exempt in TX, and some Counties have subsidies available. Read more in our Rainwater Harvesting section, (with perseverance this section will evolve!).
Pioneer can also supply Water Tanks for Municipal Storage, up to 700,000 gallons! The Potable Liners used are NSF Approved.
How to Build a Shed for rain collection or create a landscape and you want to Build a Water Fall. We have suggestions for you.
